This technology dramatically increases product documentation accuracy over traditional barcode scanning, capture ALL UDI info (including serial number/lot number and exp date) in one step, and match data against your facility master data list for improved integration with your enterprise software applications.
The Symmetric scanner also checks all surgical products for FDA recall against a current FDA recall database and validates expiration date compliance with each scan, BEFORE the products are entered into the field, increasing safety for the patient and litigation risk for the healthcare provider.
With full UDI data captured for all packaged products, post-operative product recall notification integrity for the entire patient surgical episode is ensured.
